Sr J2EE/JAVA Software Engineer | Raytheon | Riverdale, MD
Program Description:
Raytheon Information Solutions (RIS) seeks candidates to join the FBI's
National Data Exchange (N-DEx) program. N-DEx is an IT system to share
criminal justice information across jurisdictional boundaries, and to
provide law enforcement with new investigative tools to enhance fighting
crime and terrorism. Raytheon is the prime contractor for this exciting
opportunity based in Riverdale, MD and is adding staff for Increment 2
development.
Job Description:
Translate system-level requirements into a component-level software
design; develop and unit-test software or configure COTS (Commercial Off
the Shelf) products to satisfy the requirements; then aid in assembling
the software components into an incremental release. The N-DEx solution
is a COTS-centric multi-tiered web-based application using BEA Weblogic
as the primary integration framework. Work with a small team to develop
component capabilities in yearly incremental release. Participate in
design and code reviews, create design documentation, and follow
methodolologies to ensure high-quality software.
Required Skills:
Candidates must have the following:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, EE, Math or related discipline
and a m inimum of 8 years of software development work experience

At least 4 years experience in production J2EE environment to include
work with open source frameworks, build tools, and common revision
control systems

Experience with JAVA, SQL, XML, JSP, HTML, JavaScript, JSTL, and CSS
languages

Familiarity with Apache Tomcat 5 and one MVC framework
-
Experience using commercial IDEs (Eclipse, Weblogic Workshop, JBuilder)
Qualified applicants may be subject to a background investigation and
must meet miniumum qualifications for access to classified information.
U.S. Citizenship is required
Desired Skills:
Experience with one for more of the following: BEA Weblogic and BEA
Aqualogic, BEA Portal, HP-UX, Oracle 10g, CA eTrust , SML-schema, XSLT,
Web services, Apache Struts, Apache Beehive, J Unit, Geovisualization
Tools (ESRI or MapInfo), AJAX.
Multi-platform experience (Windows, UNIX, LINIX) a plus
